An Updated Classic
After a much anticipated makeover the Four Seasons restaurant formerly known as Chartwell , has reopened its doors as YEW. Now hotel guests and locals alike can sample delicacies in the expansive new dining room. The theme of BC’s natural environment is well captured by the 12 meter ceilings as well as the use of natural wood and rock. Rich materials such as the sandstone fireplace and the communal table for fourteen made of a single slab of maple bring it all together.
Food for Thought
YEW restaurant + bar seeks to bring you quality west coast cuisine that stands out. Specialties include a raw bar, a Panini bar and a Latin inspired Sunday brunch. The menu also offers a good selection of main courses including seafood, meat and pasta. A three course plus wine pairing menu is available as well as a kids menu for small picky eaters.
A Drink to Toast the Evening
Whereas the cocktail list ranges from classic to modern the wine list could only be described as extensive. YEW boasts 150 different wines by the glass. With such selection, you are sure to find something to compliment your miso glazed Salmon, or crispy polderside duck.
