The Theatre
The White Rock Playhouse Theatre is a community jewel on the shores of White Rock. A 218 seat theatre, it is available for rental by performing arts, music, business or professional groups, but not for religious or political meetings, speeches or debates. It produces six shows a year, including the popular Christmas Pantomime, which has been a local tradition since 1954. The Pantomime is a White Rock favourite, and tradition.
The Club
The theatre is home to the White Rock Players Club, which has provided laughter, tears and thrills at the best community theatre in the White Rock / South Surrey area. The Club has owned and operated the White Rock Playhouse since 1960. They formed in 1944 from the disbanded Surrey Teachers Dramatic Society and spent the first six years rehearsing and performing anywhere they could find space. They then rented a small space on the waterfront and named it the White Rock Little Theatre.

Since then, they have moved to the current location at the Coast Capital Playhouse wehre they provide community theatre all year long.
