Waves’ story begins in 2005 at the corner of West Hastings Street and Richards in downtown Vancouver. Pouring cup after cup of excellent coffee and complimenting them with great, friendly service and free wireless Internet, Waves has grown from a just a little bean among many others to a network of coffee destinations across the Lower Mainland.

With free Wi-Fi at every store, Waves is the perfect place to hop on your laptop and get some work done. In fact, Waves is proud to be the first coffee franchise to offer free Internet connections to its customers at every location. Not only that, Waves is committed to being a green café and is doing its part to preserve the planet by supporting local growers and producers, using minimal amounts of water in its coffee, using paper products made with recycled material, designing stores that maximize sun exposure to help minimize the use of electrical heating and lighting, and by offering coffees and teas that are organic and fair trade and providing staff with eco-friendly uniforms made entirely of bamboo.
