Established in 1889 and originally styled after the exclusive English gentlemen's clubs popular during earlier centuries, The Vancouver Club remains a vital part of professional life in Vancouver. Founded by the individuals who fostered the City of Vancouver from her roots as a pioneer township to her present status as a world-class destination city, the building's walls are steeped in history.
Vancouver’s Distinguished
Designated an "A" class heritage building by the City of Vancouver, the Club provides a prestigious home for its members in the heart of the business district. The Vancouver Club has evolved considerably in recent years, yet it remains a cornerstone in the careers of the city's most distinguished achievers. Over the years, Club members have had tremendous influence on the growth of both the city and the province. New members soon find themselves among a diverse group of men and women actively involved in local, national and international affairs.
Exclusive Membership
To become a member, an individual must be nominated by a current member and submit up to three references by good standing members of the Club. Candidates are then approved by the Club’s membership committee and upon membership to the elite group, individuals have many benefits such as access to the Club’s casual and formal dining rooms, luxury accommodation and fitness and leisure facilities. The Club is also a host venue to functions such as weddings and corporate events.
