Sea of Opportunity
There's an ocean of viewing at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre. Watch training sessions and feeding of seals and sea-otters. On trainer tours you can feed sea otters, sea lions or seals yourself. You can also watch a trainer dive into the tank to feed the sharks! Let a naturalist show you how to study the aquarium's Beluga whales. Chat to the trainers and find out how whales fit into the arctic environment. Put on hip boots, play with the whales and feed them too.

Tours and Sleep Overs

Wander round on your own or join one of three scheduled tours each day. If you like, customise your group tour. Join off-site tours of salmon streams. For relaxation with a difference and a night to remember, arrange to sleep next to the whale tank and listen to the whale sounds all night long. See all the underwater life of B.C. in the Pacific Canada Pavilion and learn how humans co-exist with the animals of the Strait of Georgia. Learn about current issues surrounding B.C.'s aquatic life and partnerships between businesses, organizations, groups and government agencies.

More Than Just Fish
From further south, the Amazon gallery holds tropical fish, caymans, sloths, snakes, spiders, birds, tortoises and frogs. Clownfish Cove is an interactive children's area in the lower level of the Aquarium's Weyerhauser Pacific Canada gallery. Designed to appeal primarily to children eight years old and younger, Clownfish Cove features live animals, such as seahorses, toads and, of course, colourful clownfish. There are also puzzles, puppets, dress-up costumes, crafts and other activities lead by Aquarium staff and volunteers. Entry is included in the price of admission to the Aquarium (children 3 and under are admitted free).
