Neighbourhood Kitchen
Two Chefs and a Table introduced a unique business model to Vancouver diners when it opened in summer 2008. On the outside it may simply look like a cute bistro, but behind the doors of the unassuming white building, chefs are hard at work preparing gourmet dishes for catered affairs. All the food for events is prepared onsite and locals are welcome to stop by to sample some dishes in the trailblazing bistro. With space for only about 25 diners at a time, it’s a very intimate atmosphere. One of the highlights of the retro-looking resto is its open stainless steel kitchen and the onlooking chef’s table, where people are given the opportunity to watch the cooks at work and immerse themselves in the culinary process.
French Fused with West Coast
The focus at Two Chefs and a Table is crafting fresh, local ingredients into fine bistro fare. The ever-changing menu is West Coast meets French, with dishes like steak frits with braised tomato and tarragon mayo, duck rillette with berry compote, coq au vin chicken with roasted veggie risotto and many varieties on Pacific fish. At lunchtime, in-the-know Vancouverites break for charcuterie meat sandwiches on baguettes, hand-tossed salads and Brie pasta bowls. Artisan cocktails as well as beer and wine are available to complement your meal.
