Award-winning Tsunami Sushi is a bit of a tourist attraction. With its prime location at the corner of Robson and Burrard, it’s no wonder. If you’re struggling to find the right sushi joint to impress those out-of-town guests who can’t wait to experience BC fish, look no further. This upstairs restaurant is big, beautifully-decorated and is sure to make your meal entertaining. The restaurant features mini canals with floating dishes of sushi that “sail” by each seat. Pull up a waterfront chair and watch the sushi float by. Once you spot something you like, take if off the boat and enjoy. It makes eating fun, especially for kids. Or, take a seat outside on the large patio and people-watch on one of the world’s most fashionable streets.
Waterside Dining
Sushi maestros stand in the middle of the boat track preparing the sushi and place them on board as soon as they're ready to set sail. You'll find all your favourite rolls – maki, California, BC and scallop. You'll also find sashimi and gyoza and even some sushi surprises. The price of each plate is distinguished by the different patterns and colours of the plates. At the end of your meal, just stack up your plates and add them up.
Some Helpful Hints
If you’d rather have your meal a bit quicker and get exactly what you want, try ordering directly from the menu. There are more choices and the food is more likely to be served warmer or fresher. Also, remember that Tsunami Sushi doesn’t take reservations. So, show up early or you just might have to wait in line.
