Hidden Treasure
Tsui Hang Village Restaurant is a surprising gem on gritty Granville Street in the middle of Vancouver’s entertainment district. What looks like a simple place to grab some sweet and sour pork, is actually an attractive and calming place to enjoy a leisurely meal. When you walk in the front doors, you will be greeted by a host in a suit and seated at a lovely table with a white tablecloth. The room is stunning with its high ceilings, marble walls and massive chandelier twinkling down on the round tables. If you have a group and are looking for a little privacy, there are two intimate rooms that can be booked: One holding up to 20 people, the other 10.

Family Fare
Tsui Hang Village is a great place to enjoy a big meal with the whole family. Large tables with centre spinners make for easy sharing, and there are group menus designed to help you enjoy the most variety at the best value. The restaurant serves all the Chinese staples you would expect and then some. Tsui Hang’s specialties include egg foo yung, vegetable and bean cakes, and cod dishes. You can also indulge in a two-course peking duck meal or enjoy an oyster platter. Noodles and rice dishes abound, and for the carb-conscious, there are several soup and chop suey choices.

Pick Up and Save
After a night of dancing in the Granville clubs, Tsui Hang is an ideal place to pick up some after-hours nosh. Around the corner on Davie Street, there’s a take-out window where you place your order and get your food in moments. There’s a set menu of a dozen special you can order from the window and they all come in under $5.
