Set in the eastern reaches of the Fraser Valley, Trans-Canada Waterslides is a large commercial water park. About 100 kilometres east of Vancouver and 25 kilometres west of Hope, the slides are located in a lush wooded area next to the Trans-Canada Highway and down the road from Bridal Falls, another famous Fraser Valley attraction.
An Adventure Itinerary
These slides are a perfect start or finish to any family road trip. There are slides, a massive hot tub and a large picnic area. An adventure itinerary in the area could look something like this: sliding at Trans-Canada Waterslides, rafting the Chilliwack River (16 kilometres up Chilliwack Lake Road) and then taking the air-tram over the mighty Fraser at Hells Gate (50 kilometres north on the Trans-Canada).
Group Fun Abounds
Trans-Canada Waterslides has an activity for the each member of the family, besides the thrilling slides. Golfers can enjoy a round of mini-golf. The entire family can eat at the snack bar. Meanwhile little ones can splash in the kiddie pool. The picnic area is large and parts of it can be booked for group reservations. Groups of 15 or more are encouraged to book ahead. With the booking, each person enjoys a discounted rate, a hot dog and soft drink, admission to the mini-golf course and a reserved area. Even birthday cakes are for sale for birthday groups that feel like packing light when heading out to the slides. Group bookings can be done online or by phone.
