The huge American chain completely dominates the toy market, and with good reason. Toys “R” Us' enormous stores sell every single toy you can think of, for kids of all ages. Aisles upon aisles of colourful delights await overexcited children, with new surprises at every turn. You’ll relive your own childhood as you browse through familiar favourites such as GI Joe, Barbie, My Little Pony, Thomas the Tank, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers. Don’t forget the TV and Movie tie-ins with merchandise sporting Spiderman, Batman, Barney, Dora the Explorer and Bratz.
And it's not just toys. Board games line one entire wall, stuffed animals abound, books and music dominate a huge section and don't forget the video games and accessories. There is a huge section of learning toys including electronic gadgets that are essentially a child’s first computer. There are the old standbys as well – colouring books, blocks, kitchen toys and child-style tools for the budding chef or carpenter. Whatever the age of the child, there is something sure to please.
Even Children have a Registry
They've also grown wise to the registry market, and along with their extensive infant/baby area, offer a comprehensive registry list for new parents. It even includes diapers.
Catering to Parents Too
As an added bonus for harried parents, the stores extend their Christmas shopping hours all the way to midnight as Santa's special day draws near. During the rest of the year you can find seasonal merchandise such as Halloween costumes, birthday party trinkets, Easter goodies, and summertime specials such as pool noodles, waterwings, and beach balls.
