For many people who want to get into martial arts, deciding on what discipline to study can be tough: judo, jukendo, jiu-jitsu. Total Defense System offers an excellent alternative. By combining several traditional methods of self-defence, the studio allows students to benefit from various forms of martial arts and become well-rounded warriors. The club’s mantra is “simplicity, effectiveness and balance,” and the black-belt level trainers will get you there.
Accessible to All
From energetic children to adults trying to get back in shape, Total Defense System welcomes everyone on to the gym floor. Children as young as three can sign up for a class affectionately named “L’il Dragon,” in which they will build self-esteem and learn concentration and co-ordination skills that mom and dad will surely appreciate. There are also specific programs for youths and adults, as well as for women who want to learn simple, effective self-defence techniques. For families that want to get fit and confident together, there are group classes available at a discount.
Total Defense System is highly involved in the Delta community. The students often perform and participate in local events such as festival and fairs. The club also helps charities by doing fundraisers and food drives. The club has also created its own community and regularly arranges tournaments and performances.
