Profile

Stunning Seaside Setting
Located at the Oak Bay Marina, The Marina Restaurant boats one of the most superb settings on the Island. Diners enjoy sweeping views of Mount Baker and the Straight of Juan de Fuca from the attractive tired patio and floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room. There isn’t a bad seat in the restaurant, which attracts many people celebrating special occasions. The décor is ultra-modern and reminiscent of a grand ship with a spattering of nautical details. White tablecloths, rich wood furnishings and fine tableware add to the high-end appeal.

Fresh Regional Cuisine
Given its setting on the waterfront, The Marina Restaurant tempts many diners with its specialty fresh, local seafood dishes. You can start your meal with Saltspring Island mussels and then enjoy the braised halibut cheek farfalle and wild salmon. Other West Coast-inspired dishes include porcini-roasted Cowichan Bay chicken breast and roast lamb tenderloin. All dishes are beautifully presented and accompanied by local, organic vegetables. The restaurant also boasts a sushi bar that rolls up original maki like the “Marina Rising,” which features smoked tuna and salmon, capers, daikon sprout and wasabi tabiko wrapped in a soy sheet. The Marina is also well known for its award-winning Sunday buffet brunch featuring a wide variety of homemade favourites from fresh seafood to decadent desserts made by the in-house pastry chef. There’s also a lighter fare menu for those who are dining early in the evening, available between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. The restaurant has an excellent wine list available at all times, which includes its exclusive Oak Bay Marine Group private label.

Impressive Location for Special Functions
Imagine hosting a party at one of Victoria’s most spectacular oceanfront locations? It’s possible at The Marina Restaurant! Whether you’re hosting a business lunch or a small wedding, the restaurant can make your event memorable. The private dining area is at ocean level, with views of the marina and the mountains, and can accommodate up to 40 people. You can make a meal selection from the set function menu, or work with the chef to create a personalized spread to remember.
