About Teaz
Based on the mantra that "tea is a tradition, not a trend", the brainchild for this tea boutique in the South Granville area, Anita Suri, has focused her efforts on selling what she considers the most premium loose teas. With the proper tradition of tea drinking passed down from her mother, she was inspired to travel the world, visiting "tea estates" to taste and discover teas she found worthy of giving the Teaz label to.
Loose Leaves
Dabbling solely in loose leaf teas, there are 140 aromatic, sweet, sensuous, floral and spicy teas to choose from. The bright store with cream-coloured walls, dark hardwood and plenty of natural light makes for an earthy atmosphere, which lends to the mood of browsing for the perfect tea while sampling the fresh pot which is always on brew. If you already have your favourite Teaz loose leaf chosen, there are plenty of tea pots, steeping balls and other accessories available for purchase, too. Teaz also offers finely made tea-leaf-infused truffles in four flavours including Lemon-Ginger and Kashmiri Chai, which can be pre-ordered from October to December in milk or dark chocolate. A delicious variety of three melt-in-your-mouth shortbreads are also the perfect complement to any mug of steaming tea.
