Setting the Bar
Sun Sui Wah is dedicated to elevating the way Chinese cuisine is appreciated in not only Vancouver, but the entire world. The Sun Sui restaurant is heralded all over the globe for their great food and great service. Loyal costumers and new patrons alike come to experience the hospitality and their famous, signature dish, Roasted Squab, which is actually the meat from a young domestic pigeon. The Chinese are known for cooking and eating absolutely everything, and doing it well, so you can’t knock it until you try it!

The Building
Award-winning B.C. architect Bing Thom designed the premises. Inside, the two-story-high atrium radiates stylishness and class. Designed with clean symmetry, sculpted lighting fixtures, skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows, the atmosphere is sunny and enjoyable.

Squab and Dim Sum
The cuisine served hails from Southern China, and the specialty of the house is the notable roasted squab that has put Sun Sui Wah on the map - and in the history books. Interestingly, from a health standpoint, the squab helps remove toxins from the liver and kidney. Their dim sum (or yum cha) menu contains thirty to forty items to choose from. It comes with a legend, and coloured photos to help you choose your dish. Seafood specialties include geoduck, Alaska king crab and rock cod.

Tea
The Chinese are the oldest and most venerable culture on earth. They believe that tea cleanses the palate and is an active digestive agent, and the drink accompanies every meal. There is a choice of four select kinds at Sun Sui Wah: Jasmine, Polei, Shaumei and Mercy of Buddha. A steaming pot of tea is served as soon as you're seated. Soft drinks, coffee, and alcoholic beverages are also available.
