Whether you’re looking to firm up, lose weight, increase your heart rate or gently exercise; Spartacus Athletic Club has a large variety of classes to suit your needs. The club offers the regular options, like step class, yoga, pilates, a boot camp and body sculpting, as well as some classes like capoeria, fit ball stretch, ball pilates, yogalates (combination of yoga and pilates) and cross training. The classes are held from early morning to later in the evening, seven days a week.
More than a gym
The instructors specialize in their own areas and bring with them years of experience in health and fitness. The instructors and all the staff are known for providing a welcoming and inviting environment to work out in. Also housed in the athletic club is a store, where gym-goers can find books, nutritional supplements and other related items. They have installed sun beds, where members can get tanned without much effort.

The atmosphere inside has a neighbourhood feel and the owners are a large part of that environment, knowing most of the members by name. The membership fees are discounted for students, seniors, those who work on the Drive and family members, so make sure to ask. With some of the most affordable drop-in and membership rates in the city, the club has prospered in the last few years to embrace over 1,000 members.
