Diner Décor
Big booths, floral wallpaper and kitschy knickknacks give Smile Restaurant a cheerful personality. In true diner style and in addition to the spacious green booths, there are cute swivel stools at the front bar. Also adding to Smile’s “greasy spoon” authenticity is the window to the kitchen at the back of the restaurant. Sizzling sounds emanate and freshly cooked dishes appear when they’re ready to be delivered. The décor is minimal save two glass cases along the wall filled with random items such as cola cans, teacups, glass fruit and ceramic figurines from China. The restaurant attracts a lot of city workers looking to fuel up before a day of work and regulars are welcomed by name.

All-Day Breakfast
Breakfast is the biggest seller at Smile and the eggs are cooked up all day long. The traditional breakfast includes eggs the way you like them, toast, hash browns and sausage or bacon. All-day options also include pancakes, omelets and steaks. Smile also features Chinese cuisine at all hours.

Fusion Feasts
Lunch at Smile offers so many options, you could go there every day of the week and not eat the same thing twice. Sandwiches are popular for lunch and instead of fries, Smile offers a healthier alternative: homemade soup of the day! Wonton, beef and chicken soup are also available every day. Burgers are big and juicy and you can choose from cheese, mushroom, bacon or go for all three with the “Big Burger.” If you have a hankering for a hearty dinner, steaks, veal, fish and liver dishes done up in typical diner style offer a solid choice of protein. The Chinese portion of the menu features chow mien, fried rice, sweet and sour pork, chicken legs and egg rolls. Combo plates make sampling easy for solo diners, and for larger parties there are dinner packages ideal for sharing.
