The Debauchery
Section (3) opened in 1994 as a tiny bistro at the infancy of the Yaletown neighbourhood. Originally named De Niro’s, after the owners favourite actor, De Niro himself threatened a lawsuit if the name was not changed.

The Aftermath
Thus, in 1999, the present name was adopted. Since then, Section (3) has been throwing some of the wildest theme parties in the city, such as their Dollywood extravaganza and anniversary events. They’re now settled in as a mainstay of the Yaletown community and have moved into bigger and better digs over the years, which means their trendy and laid back reputation has prevailed. The comfortable patio out front is famous for people watching along the Mainland Street catwalk.

The Food, Etc.
The menu is sophisticated without being stuck-up and includes some fun dishes that are easily within an affordable price range. The lunch menu includes several staples; burgers, pizza, salads and pastas, while the dinner menu improves upon those and includes some tasty entrées. There’s also a late night menu with tons of appetizers, pizzas and salads. The lounge has great service and the staff is known to be friendly and attentive. Section (3) prides themselves on not being like all of the other spots in the city, and on creating a unique atmosphere that isn’t a carbon copy. DJs play live sets on select nights and add to the mix of good people and fun. Section (3) is an all-in-one restaurant and bar. They host great food, great parties and great people.
