This delightful place began as a search for a reasonable tearoom, and has grown to serving lunches and offering catering as well. Accompanied by pastries, sweets, sweet scones, Devon cream, raspberry jam and sandwiches homemade sweets and scones served on those elegant three-tiered trays, the tea here is made to gourmet standards.
Tea Names, Travel Dreams
Over 40 types of tea are served, special blends for the more thoughtful, dry side of the palate. Choose from Czar Nicholas, Lapsang Souchong, Darjeeling, Rooibos, Irish Breakfast, Kenyan, Assam, Buckingham Palace, Earl Grey of course and more. High tea is served at 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. If you can't wait that long, you can get quite a big breakfast here with a choice of omelettes, croissants, oatmeal, pancakes and several sides.
