Hailing from Southern Italy with 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, the woman behind Rosa’s Cucina Italiana is what gives the place its unique sense of character. The food is everything you would look for in a good Italian restaurant: rustic, homey and downright tasty.
Of particular note is the lasagna, the veal chops and the seafood cannelloni, with the latter only being served on Fridays. The portions are decent, so even the most dedicated eaters should be satisfied with one dish, as there is a selection of salads to go alongside your main dish. Once you’ve experienced their savory food, chances are you’ll be keen to try their desserts, of which there are enough homemade treats to tempt any sweet tooth. The Italians sure know how to eat!
Meet the Family
The restaurant itself is an old heritage home, which adds to the comfy, homey feel of the place, and with room for 45 people in the main eating area, one can enjoy a meal in an intimate environment without the least hint of pretentiousness. On the walls you’ll see a collection of decorations given to the proprietress over the years by appreciative customers. By the time to leave, the vibe of the place will make you feel as though you’re a part of the family. After all, is this not the kind of atmosphere we’ve come to love from family restaurants? And who does the family restaurant better than the Italians?
