Toughest Test in BC Golfing?
Behind the headquarters of "The Candy Store of Golf" is a par three course with a reputation as one of the toughest in British Columbia. The founder of Riverside, Gordon Poirier, established the 9 holes in 1969. Next to the Nicomekl River in Surrey, it's a very tight, small course, fairly level and with lots of trees, but testing golfing accuracy.

Sharpen Your Short Game
With 3 small lakes and the river close by, golfers have little room for error. Three tees are on top of the dike next the river and so shots to the right go in the water. A busy course, wear and tear dictates mats on the tees of each hole. There's no designated grass teeing area. Greens are small but good.

The Love of Golf
The course lies next to the largest pro shop in Canada. Part of a complete training facility, the headquarters of Riverside Golf Centre has a driving range, practice area, and three CPGA professionals offering instruction. The company has built success on making golf easily accessible: name brand equipment at lowest prices, and friendly staff. Eight other Riverside Golf Shops and a large clearance warehouse are also located in the lower mainland, at Abbotsford, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Langley, South Vancouver and (on the Island), Victoria and Lantzville.
