One of the many hostelries in the Choice Hotels Chain, this mid-priced two-star Quality Inn is located in the heart of BC’s Lower Mainland, very close to Kwantlen University College in Surrey. Several local attractions make the area a draw for families, including the Surrey Museum, Fraser Downs horse racing and casino, Newton Recreation Centre Wave Pool, and Bear Creek Park. Hiking trails and Crescent Beaches are not too far away. There are also abundant opportunities for shopping, dining and drinking.
The hotel’s 57 air-conditioned guest rooms on two floors are very clean and well-equipped. They feature AM-FM clock radios, cable TV with free movies, a telephone with data port, wireless high speed Internet, hairdryer, iron with ironing board, safe, and free newspapers on weekday mornings. Some guest rooms have a whirlpool hot tub or jetted bathtub, ceiling fan, refrigerator and coffee maker and there are enhanced rooms for physically disabled guests. Non-smoking rooms may be requested. Business travellers may request use of fax and copy machines.
A guest laundry, outdoor parking, video cassette player and VCR rentals are available for the use of guests. The on-site Ronnie’s Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Mondays to Saturdays, closing a bit early on Sundays. Ronnie’s offers inexpensive and wholesome Ukranian-Canadian cuisine. Afternoon tea at the hotel is another added bonus. The Quality Inn on King George offers a one hundred per cent satisfaction guarantee – inform the front desk if you have a serious problem and they’ll do their best to correct it. You’ll get a one-night credit if they cannot.
