You can smell the fresh bread baking and wonderful coffee brewing at the Portobello Market and Fresh Bakery inside the Fairmont’s lower lobby. It’s like a European market inside, with a fresh bakery, made to order food, a specialty coffee bar and enough room for everyone to sit comfortably. This is an energetic deli style restaurant that doesn’t skimp when it comes to quality or freshness. Portobello has a la carte dining at tables around the restaurant where patrons can order from a menu, but also a wide variety of deli counter items one can eat-in or take-out.
Great Food, Casual Style
The west coast inspired décor and comfortable atmosphere are quite causal and the open concept kitchen invites guests to watch as Portobello’s chef’s cook up the different specials daily. When summer warms Whistler Village, Portobello invites guests out to its flower filled outdoor patio to have lunch or breakfast al fresco.
Something for Everyone
Try a freshly made doughnut or pastry in the morning, soups and sandwiches for lunch and pastas, pizza and vegetarian dishes any time during the day. Some say the pizza is the best in Whistler. Portobello is also licensed and stocks a variety of wine and beer. A fresh market right on the middle of one of Whistler’s most beautiful hotels, the Portobello Market and Fresh Bakery is a great spot to grab something on the go or sit down for breakfast or lunch in style.
Patio: Heated indoor patio open year round.
Tip: Breads and pastries baked fresh daily.
