Laid-back style
Right in the heart of downtown Victoria, the Podium Sports Grill is a great spot to pop in for a casual meal. Sports fans will love the interesting array of sports memorabilia, including dozens of unique pieces like a numbered Andy Worhol print of Wayne Gretzky, cereal boxes featuring sports heroes and a wall full of jerseys. The space has a West Coast feel with a high ceiling, stone floor, wood furnishings and a touch of exposed brick.

Eat, drink and score
Burgers are the specialty at this sports bar, with choices like the Linden with chipotle, Brie and bacon. Sandwiches like the Whitecaps Pesto Halibut are also a hit. If you really want to feel like you’re at the stadium, there’s even a selection of hot dogs. Other menu choices include artisan salads, steaks and ribs and pastas. There’s also an excellent selection of starters for sharing, such as wings, mussels and nachos. You can wash it all down with your favourite beer: There are 15 varieties on tap, and another 20 in bottles.

If there’s a big game to be seen, you can catch it at the Podium Sports Grill. From UFC to NFL to the Canucks, you can catch it all on the big screen. Kids are always welcome, as this is a licensed restaurant and not a bar. If you’re more into playing sports than watching them, there’s also a foosball table.
