When you see the Petsmart name you know what to expect. They might not be a neighbourhood store, but there seems to be one in every neighbourhood.

Petsmart is frequented by many sorts of pet owners. They cater not only to the usual dog and cat owners, but also to people who keep birds or reptiles as companions. Their selection is staggering. For dogs and cats you'll find all sorts of toys, training equipment, food, grooming supplies and health products. There's a lot of variety within these categories, too. You can buy the tried-and-true low-tech if you want or put your money on state-of-the-art technology. If you thought a dog collar was just a dog collar, think again. You can bring your puppy in for a few socialization lessons and basic obedience training. They'll graduate with honours.
