In a modern world of cell phones, coffee shops on every corner and everything to go it’s easy to forget about the humble tea, still one of the world’s most popular beverage. In fact, it is said that only water is sipped upon more often. For the herbal or caffeine lover, Pearl Drops Teahouse aims to serve high quality tea beverages. Focused on proper preparation and extraction of the fullest flavours from superior leaves, this technique is extended to every cup served. At Pearl Drops, you are encouraged to embrace the tea experience and discover how flavourful tea can be.
Creative Concoctions
Pearl Drops’ vision is to incorporate recipes that are inspired by tradition, but prepared with creativity to make your tea experience exciting. Since the opening, the menu has expanded to include fresh fruits, a light food menu and tea creations never seen (or tasted) anywhere else before. Try the Solar Flare – categorized as a virgin tea cocktail made of organic Japanese green tea and infused with fresh fruits like lemon and lime. Another popular drink is the Almond and Spice; consisting of fresh Chai spices ground on the spot for lattes with a kick! Pearl Drops Teahouse will have the even the youngest of fans asking for a refill.
Tea Time with a Twist
The sugar used at the teahouse is caramelized, meaning less is used while also enhancing the flavour. The choice of dairy products reflects what best compliments the taste of each drink, ensuring it does not overpower the main flavours of the tea. Calling for tea, but hold the cream? Milky powder is available for those who are dairy sensitive.
