Lots of Mall Services
At the Park and Tilford the shopping is great, but there is so much more to discover. People come to the area for its renowned gardens. The mall itself features a number of shops and services, including a cinema complex that has 6 theatres and more than 30 other stores and 800 parking spaces. The mall houses a medical and dental centre as well as a food court with many restaurant choices to catch a quick meal. The mall was constructed in the late 1980s.
The Gardens
The Park and Tilford Gardens were established in 1969. The community project was started by Canadian Park & Tilford Distilleries Ltd. There are eight theme gardens on the three acre siteas well as a compost demonstration garden. The Rose Garden typically has almost 300 plants with more than 20 varieties to enjoy. The Oriental Garden contains maples, pines and bamboo. The White Garden contains an arrangement of plants with white, grey or green leaves or flowers. The Rock Pool, The Native Garden, The Herb Garden, The Display Garden and The Colonade Garden each provide a unique and relaxing time for the visitor. The gardens also provide great information for those who would like to incorporate design features into their own garden.
