Want to get away from it all? You can do that here on the northern edge of Pacific Rim National Park. No television, telephones, or radios to spoil your quest for beauty, peace, and quiet. This is a great place to bring the family and spend quality time together playing on the beach or exploring the many lovely natural spots that the Tofino area has to offer.
Cottage Amenities
The Ocean Village Beach Resort sits right on the edge of McKenzie beach, just close enough to clear the high tide line of the Pacific Ocean. Rather interesting gothic-arched cedar cottages line the property, looking almost like upended boats. Some are single storey with one or two bedrooms, and some are built as duplexes, one unit over the other. Windows and glass doors with balconies face the sea – can you imagine listing to the soothing sound of the ocean as you drift off to sleep? Because of the gothic-arch design, the insides of the cottages are as interesting as the exteriors. Curved walls are all lined with wood planks. Cottages come with sleeping and sitting areas, bathrooms and kitchens equipped with dishes and linens.

On site amenities include a 20 by 50 foot indoor pool open until 10 p.m. every day, a Jacuzzi, coin-operated laundry, common barbecue area, and a store that sells gifts, souvenirs and snacks. Although there are no TVs and radios, the resort does offer Wi-Fi service. It also offers good discounts in storm season – November to mid-March. Getting away for a break at that time of year offers its own kind of excitement – the sea can be mesmerizing when its stormy and mother nature never actually goes to sleep.
