Vancouver’s Outdoor Pools
The Vancouver Park Board operates five outdoor pools throughout the city. The three outdoor neighbourhood and two beachside pools are open throughout the summer. Adult, child and pre-school lessons are offered at most pools. An outing to the pool is an important part of a healthy lifestyle.
What You Will Find
This 30 metre pool has one and three metre diving boards its tower. There is a typical slide and the site is wheelchair accessible. The Aquafit program is offered at the Mount Pleasant Pool.
Let’s Keep It Safe with Proper Supervision
Children under eight years old must be accompanied by a guardian over 16 years of age that is wearing a bathing suit. The guardian is also expected to be within arm's length while in the water. The maximum ratio is one guardian to five children under eight years of age. Group rates of 10 or more people are available at a 20 per cent discount. The recommended ratio of supervisors or leaders for children eight years or above is one to every 10 children. All leaders are required to be in the water with their groups.
