One of the many sushi restaurants that bless the people of Vancouver, Minato has everything you could wish for in a Japanese eatery. The focus is on sushi, those much celebrated pieces of raw fish that only need to be dipped in a little soy sauce mixed with wasabi to put a smile on anyone’s face. At Minato, there’s a wide range to choose from, including old favourites like the California roll, the BC roll, and the tuna sashimi.
As in all good sushi restaurants, one can order a warm bowl of miso soup to complement their dish, and will be given a warm cup of green tea to wash it all down. However, if fish isn’t your preferred dish, there’s more than just sushi to choose from. Minato also offers a tasty selection of noodle and rice dishes, and whether you’re a meat eater or a vegetarian, there’s sure to be something for you.
Around since the early 1990s, Minato has earned a reputation for serving up good food and quality customer service, all for a reasonable price. The staff aims to create a friendly, familiar atmosphere, so if you do end up visiting regularly, you can expect to get to know them on a personal level. If you like to take your sushi home, you usually only have to wait a maximum of 15 minutes.
