Right at the base of Blackcomb, Merlin’s Bar and Grill has developed a solid reputation as one of the best places to party after a day of tackling the mountain. During the day, Merlin’s is always a great place to grab a quick lunch and remains a family friendly spot for dinner in the early evening. The menu is traditional American fare. Beer specials and huge nacho platters make up the majority of the après items served before day gives over to night, and the Merlin’s party begins.

Expect anything, from some of the funkiest live bands in Whistler to pay-per-view sports on the giant 10-foot TV screen. Merlin’s theme parties are noe legendary, as well This is one of the best parties in town and dancing on the bar isn’t just accepted, it’s encouraged.

The décor is comfortable inside and out and Merlin’s offers some of the best views of Blackcomb Mountain around. In fact, it’s wall-to-wall windows inside. Look up in the sky and you’ll see the DJ booth is a gondola car suspended high above the crowd. Upstairs there is a loft area with a second bar, pool table and some additional seating.
