Ever since the sports centre opened in 1993, it has been a popular place for visitors and locals alike. Whether they’re facing off in a hockey tournament or having a chat in the steam room, it’s a great place to meet new friends and catch up with old ones. Memberships are available and drop-in rates for visitors are very reasonable.
Full-service Centre
Whether you want to swim some laps, play a game of squash, have a workout or go for a relaxing skate, you can do it all at Meadow Park Sports Centre! The complex includes an NHL-sized ice arena, 4,500-square-foot fitness centre, two squash courts, 25-metre swimming pool, kids’ pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. You can rent rackets, balls and goggles for squash and borrow towels for the pool. The fitness area is fully equipped with a complete selection of free-weights, plate-loaded machines and top-of-the-line Cybex machines. You can sweat it out in the cardio room on treadmills, stair climbers, elliptical trainers and stationary bikes. Group classes like aerobics and boxing are also a great way to get motivated and meet new people.
