Maurya Restaurant prides itself on using minimal oils, butter and creams, and develops its sauces from five “mother sauces” instead of one. The result is a light, yet authentic taste of India that beckons with its traditional flair. The food is deeply flavourful and carefully prepared, giving diners generous portions.
The Art of Spices
The kitchen staff makes every effort to cook the dishes in the same way as it was made for the Maharajas and Nawabs of India, and focuses on the art of pakarcha: sharing dishes with friends. The wine is list is extensive and chosen to compliment each of the dishes on offer. Want them at your event? They also cater for banquets and any special occasions.
Heaven in the City
The interior boasts elegant golden hues and rich wood furniture. Like entering a grand castle, the room is decorated with calm décor and exotic touches, and is inspired by the grandeur of colonial India. The marble floors, mahogany bar and double storey, gilded ceiling will charm you as you feast on your delicious meal. The large outside patio is a neighbourhood favourite, and includes an outdoor tandoori oven.
