There's something fitting yet incongruous about Martini's on West Broadway. Set along Vancouver's outdoor outfitters' strip, the strikingly handsome restaurant sticks out amongst the anoraks and kayaks just across the street at Mountain Equipment Co-op. But then once you get inside and take in the log-cabin setting all seems right. What could be more fitting than picking up your weekend warrior gear and then grabbing a meal in a lodge with wholewheat pizza and flowing beer on tap?
Slices & Souvlaki
Martini's specialty is a vast Greek/Italian menu. Portions are big and everything comes with a delicious fat slice of toasted garlic bread. Like the setting, Martini's makes you feel like you're in some lost Vancouver world - where food was hearty and there was lots o' meat. As well as steak and veal, there's chicken and ribs and almost everything comes in some kind of combo.
The menu also contains lots of different pasta entrees and a huge selection of pizzas, with 14 vegetarian varieties at last check. There is also a seafood selection for when you want something different. To wash everything down, Martini's has quite a few beers on tap, including Kilkenny and Big Rock - in fact their bar is very well stocked, and the atmosphere certainly warrants just popping in for a drink. Take away is available - from 15 minutes before closing.
Note: With a minimum order of $10 Martini’s will deliver anywhere in downtown Vancouver for free.
