A Real Italian Delight
Mario's Gelati Ltd.’s origins date back to 1929 when an Italian family member began to experiment on his farm making ice cream. The family emigrated to Canada in 1962 and grew an exceptional family owned business that has stretched over four generations. Since 1976 Mario's Gelati has been serving the food service, retail and hospitality industries along with the general public. The high quality Italian ice cream includes a product range of low-fat, no fat and non-dairy frozen desserts. The First Avenue plant opened in 1998 followed by a café and a 600 seat ballroom opened 1999. Mario’s Gelati counts an expanding client base that includes hotel and restaurant chains.
Ice Cream with that Wow Effect
You can drop into the café for an ice cream cone, but don’t rule out a special treat to take home. The product range is large and can meet almost any need. There are over 500 varieties of ice cream. You’ll find 72 different types in the freezers, but they are constantly changing. There are gelato cakes to consider and portions can vary from a single serving to tubs of ice cream to treat the whole family. The single portions are visually appealing.
