You may have seen Mylrea’s work in exhibitions like 1987’s ‘Artropolis’ and the international show “Fear of Others, Art Against Racisim” in 1989. She has been reviewed by the Globe and Mail, the Canadian Art Magazine, and her work has been showcased at the opening of the Evocative Arts Gallery in Palm Springs, California. Mylrea’s work often falls under the category of "sensual" due to her skill at depicting the nude female form. For example, her work entitled "The Woman" shows the female form reclining in colours of blue and black and is representative of her soft touch. The cubist influenced, 1982 work "Emotional Edges" also depicts sensuality as her work displays a rich emotion and superior understanding of form and the importance of colour choice.
