If it’s French cakes, pastries and fresh baked goods you’re after, you’ll definitely find it at La Petite France. The bakery makes fresh homemade brioche, great tasting croissants and tons of other goodies daily. But La Petite France is also more than just a bakery and pastry shop. They serve a modest deli-style lunch featuring traditional French crepes and a host of other heat and serve items. Guests are invited to take food out or dine inside the classically styled 25-seat café.
Award-winning
Warm lattes and organic loose leaf teas are served as the perfect compliment to any one of La Petite France’s fabulous baked goods, but one particular item from the bakery stands alone. La Petite France’s pain au chocolat, a chocolate croissant of sorts, was voted Vancouver’s best by the Westender in 2007. Also, those looking for something a little sweeter will find much to choose from at La Petite France. In addition to preparing fresh baked goods, they also make chocolates from scratch. These lovely confections make a perfect gift or sweet indulgence all on your own.
Warm and Fresh
Open since 2001, the bakery does a brisk take-out business and while they’re usually busy for lunch, most days you can find a seat. Sometimes there’s nothing better than a warm, fresh pastry and there’s really no better place in Vancouver’s West End to find it than at La Petite France.
