Selling nearly every product under the sun, this crowded 4th Avenue store features narrow aisles stacked to the rafters and crammed with shelf upon shelf upon shelf of just about every kitchen- and home-related item you could possibly think of. The Corner is easily recognized by its bright-red awning and standard outdoor display of blank-eyed white styrofoam mannequin heads. Look for great bargains in woven and lined baskets in every shape and size, $1 hair clips and combs, rainbow-coloured laundry pegs, sponges, cleaning supplies and tea towels.
Odds and Ends
Whether you’ve just discovered that you’ve run out of laundry detergent in the middle of a Sunday afternoon washing spree, that the dog somehow managed to chew and completely destroy your straw welcome mat, that someone maliciously removed he copper-coloured “3” from your apartment door, that you need a heart-shaped baking pan to make your sweetie’s birthday cake or that you accidentally doubled your mom’s chili recipe and need more Tupperware to store it, Kitchen Corner should be your default destination. No matter what’s on your list, chances are this retailer’s got what you’re looking for.
Besides carrying every item for your home from A to Z, the nice thing about Kitchen Corner is its affordability. For party favours, novelty and replacement items and stuff you need in a pinch, shopping at the Corner won’t cost you an arm and a leg. In fact, you can probably find an arm and a leg somewhere among the stacks and piles of products…
