A Theatre Company with Many Talents
Established in 1986, Intrepid Theatre Company is a non-profit organization that is committed to supporting alternative theatre. Whether it is to promote local, national and international artists, Intrepid Theatre strives to inspire actors to express themselves and audiences to be thrilled by the magic of the stage. Intrepid Theatre is the producer of the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, Uno Festival of Solo Performance and the Metro Studio Theatre.
Festival of One
Intrepid Theatre's annual Uno Festival of Solo Performance is dedicated to the production of exceptional one-person theatre to Victoria. The Festival features ten live solo performances that range from comedy, drama and dance theatre from local, national and international artists.
On the Fringe
Intrepid Theatre also produces the annual Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival. The festival features comedy, theatre, dance and spoken word performances by artists locally and around world. Catch the festival in late August in a variety of downtown venues, including their own Metro Theatre. The Fringe is fun way to spend a night out and discover alternative theatre at a reasonable price.
Venue with a Vision
Intrepid Theatre is the proud owner of the Metro Studio. This 200-seat venue has hosted many performances, including plays, dance, cinema, music. The venue is also ideal space to rent for meetings, rehearsals, or receptions. There is a demand for a great venue for artists to perform and the Metro Theatre exists to fill that need.

Many artistic organizations who have performed in the Metro Studio Theatre include: the Victoria Conservatory of Music, the Victoria Jazz Society, Atomique Productions, Pacific Opera Victoria, ICA Folkfest, the Victoria Pride Society, Puente Theatre, Kaleidoscope Theatre, Asmira Dance, Luminara Victoria, Out of the Box Productions, Red Hot Swing, the Victoria International Improv Festival, Three Schooner Productions, Victoria Symphony, Theatre SKAM, and Boygroove.
