Just 40-seats, the Indica Restaurant is a small, romantic dining room with soft lighting and black and white photos of famous Indian landmarks on the walls. It’s a cozy room, perfect for enjoying some of the best Indian food in the city of Vancouver. A Silver Medalist for the Best Informal Restaurant award in Vancouver Magazine in 2002, Indica also has a wonderful view of English Bay and is just steps from Stanley Park.
Legendary Indian Food
Guests find an intimate and quiet dining room at Indica, but the reason they come is for the food. The butter chicken is legendary, as is the curry lamb, Tandoori, chicken tikka and goam fish curry. One can’t go wrong with any of these popular choices or anything else on the extensive menu. The restaurant is only open for dinner and it has quickly become a West End hot spot in its short existence so reservations are a must anytime, but especially on weekends. During the summer, Indica opens a patio (seating only six to eight people) for outdoor dining as well.
The Flavours of East India
There is a small bar at the front of the restaurant where patrons can grab a quick drink before dinner, but here’s hoping you don’t have to wait long. Indica Restaurant promises all the traditional flavours of an East Indian meal at its comfortable and exclusive Denman Street location that never disappoints.
