Even though Incendio is located off the main Gastown routes, you'll find that it's always busy, so make a reservation or go early. Everyone seems to know each other and the staff, a good sign that people keep coming back after a good hearty meal.
My, My, Pizza Pie
The main staples here are pizza fired in the wood oven, and pastas. Both the pizzas and the pastas range from the expected to the adventurous. But everything, from the Margharita pizza to the pasta with mango butter, fresh veggies and scallops, is excellent. You can't go wrong with anything off the menu, but if you must, they invite you to add some extras to your choice of pizza.
From the Cellar
The list of by-the-glass wines is somewhat limited, but there's an ample selection of wines to be had by the bottle. It's a pretty nice place to sit and chat and eat for a while, so why not order the bottle? If vino isn't what you're after, there's a full bar of other drinks from which to choose. One last note: don't fill up too much on that delicious bread; you won’t have any room left for main course or dessert.
