Picturesque Scenery
Don’t forget the camera if you’re planning your first trip to Horseshoe Bay. The views along this quaint port are making it a popular visiting spot and a stop along the way to other destinations. The surrounding mountains and nearby islands along with the waters of Howe Sound combine to provide a unique experience.

Great Shops to Explore
There are plenty of interesting shops to explore. Unique boutiques always offer an intriguing experience. The Marina is popular for taking a stroll and there are plenty of facilities to accommodate visitors. There are pubs in which to sit back and relax and an attractive park in which to have a picnic or take a stroll. There is a playground for the kids and a wide selection of recreational activities, such as boating, kayaking or scuba diving if the water suits you. Popular whale watching and eco-tours can be booked and you can also take in a game of golf. You can launch your own boat at the federal dock or plan an extended stay for a fishing trip since this is where many salmon fishermen operate.

An Important Transportation Link
BC Ferries operates a large terminal that serves as an important transportation link. There is room for three large ferries that take passengers to Departure Bay in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and to Bowen Island and Langdale on the Sunshine Coast. This is also where the Sea to Sky Highway begins. The highway wraps around cliffs towards Howe Sound, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. It is the drive many take to head toward one of North America’s most recognized skiing and sports locations.
