Amidst a Whirlwind of Choices
Honto Sushi is located in the Crystal Mall, a large Asian shopping complex beside Metrotown Centre in Burnaby. The mall is stuffed with 200 stores, all offering a huge selection of Asian eats and treats. There’s a food court, a grocery store a variety of clothing stores and services. But if it’s a good, sit-down Japanese meal you’re looking for, look no further than Honto. And although it’s small, it packs quite the deal. Take a look at the restaurant’s colourful menu for a glimpse of what’s to come.

Great Atmosphere
Honto Sushi isn’t about slinging sushi out to the customers faster than the fish were hauled out of the ocean. It’s very laid-back and relaxed, and chefs take their time constructing a tiny little work of art out of each piece. Take your time looking through the menu and be sure to ask the staff for their suggestions. At Honto, you’re among fellow sushi-lovers who don’t just stop after the first dish. Diners usually end up ordering more, and chopsticks snap across the table as friends share their favourites.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!
There’s just no other word to describe Honto’s selection of sushi. The prices are incredibly reasonable. For a fraction of what you pay in most sushi restaurants, you will receive a very hearty meal of your choice of sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, udon noodles, and the list goes on. Since the prices are so low, you can afford to be adventurous and try a variety of things. There’s even a bit of Korean influence in some of the items! For those with a keen eye, there’s a little area where you can eat in front of the restaurant and people watch. It tends to get busy though, so be sure to get in there early or get your sushi to go.
