The large, open-room restaurant is immaculate, and the uniformed staff are engaging and enthusiastic. Impressive chandeliers light the room and fresh floral arrangements are on display. The walls are adorned by tasteful Chinese art, and glass cases in corners of the room showcase Chinese artifacts. The family-orientated restaurant is a busy spot and the majority of the clientele is Chinese — a true testament to the authenticity and taste of the food.
Dim Sum and Then Some
Happy Valley is best known for its delicious dim sum. The restaurant offers nearly 50 dishes for the Chinese-style tapas. There are dumplings and rice rolls galore, but there are also more exotic options such as chicken feet in wine sauce and spareribs with pumpkin. All of the dim sum dishes are less than $5, making it affordable to try many. For lunch and dinner, Happy Valley serves an assortment of rice and noodle dishes, veggies, hot pots and congee: you could try a new dish every day for four months!
