Izakaya is the Japanese answer to the neighbourhood pub: A buzzing atmosphere, tasty tapas, drinks a plenty and not a sliver of sushi. Hapa Izakaya stands out by giving us all this and more in a hip and trendy atmosphere. Its bright and busy ambiance is nicely balanced by the dark, laid-back setting.
Food and Drink
Take a walk on the adventurous side with this inventive menu. Sample the Tako Wasabi (octopus) or opt for a popular choice such as the Ebi Mayo (big bruiser prawns with a spicy mayo). Make sure you pair your meal with a drink. A classic bamboo sake works well of course, or you can choose from the list of cocktails, mojitos and martinis.
Two is Better then One
Due to the success of the first Haba Izakaya owners Justin and Lea Ault have opened a second restaurant. Whereas the original has very much the same buzzing feel as the downtown neighborhood it inhabits, the kits location is as laid back as you would expect a beach-side restaurant to be.
