The Place
Here's some Green Lettuce history just to get your taste buds howling. The family who operates this restaurant relocated from India, where they ran a Chinese restaurant for many generations.

Tucked in the corner of Kingsway and Victoria, it's wonderful to find one of Vancouver's most distinctive restaurants in the East side. This restaurant is very clean and quaint like a diner. Sure, ambience is not a big factor for Green Lettuce but wait until you try the food.

The Food
For all you spice lovers or vegetarians, they have a full page of dishes available exclusively for your kind.

Hot picks and must try's are:
Vegetable Pakora with Chutney ($6.95), Hot and Spicy Eggplant ($11.95), Masala Fried Rice ($7.95).

Note: Some dishes are quite spicy so be careful. The number of chilli peppers beside the dish on the menu will tell you how hot it really is (One pepper meaning moderate and three meaning very dangerous). It is possible to request your order less spicy. Also, drink lots of water.

The Patrons
You'll find a lot of Indian customers here, signifying the authenticity of Green Lettuce's Indian side. No smoking is permitted, however you will leave with a smoking tongue.
