The Golden Spike Pub & Bistro has been around for a long time. Local residents count it as one of their regular hangouts and visitors alike site it as a great pub to have a pint at. The atmosphere is one of meeting friends after work, having a business lunch, or even a dinner for two. Each day of the week offers a different food special paired with well-priced drinks. The food specials range from dinosaur rib bones, chicken wings and prime rib, to fish and chips, prawns, Canadian AA steak, spaghetti and roast beef. Vegetarian dishes are available, as is a breakfast buffet and Sunday brunch.
The Ambiance
The Spike pub is known for a great place to watch the game because every seat in the house has a great view. In between periods, the staff provides fun entertainment that’s better than TV. Fundraising events are also constantly being hosted because of the friendly staff and inviting food. Take out is available for those in a rush or reservations are accepted for those who want to stay while. Dancing abounds, especially on nights where live bands grace the stage and the outdoor patio-seating make for a great place in the summer.

A liquor store is attached to the pub, which stocks all of the traditional favourites and various brands of wines impossible to find elsewhere. Not your everyday store, this place has weekly specials, contest and giveaways and regularly hosts tasting promotions to help you discover a new product.
