Phones are available for guests, as well as a back patio for smoking, private hallway lockers, a full-service kitchen and videos to check out at the front desk. The rooms are mixed sex and each is equipped with a sink, most have mirrors, and there are communal bathrooms and showers on every floor.
Hospitable Hostel
Staff will help guests sort out Canadian adventures from the hostel’s activity/travel info desk and they’ll even hook guests up with cheap Vancouver Canucks tickets for the hockey-minded traveler. Plus, their social director will wow visitors with daily activities like hockey, comedy nights, bowling, movie nights, scavenger hunts, skating, brewery tours, pool competitions and more.
Designed by Backpackers for Backpackers
The hostel houses a massive kitchen upstairs, a huge funky common area that features the one and only Beaver Restaurant and Pub, possibly the most well known backpacker hang out in North America. The Beaver was designed by backpackers for the backpacking masses. With an atmosphere that is clean, comfortable, safe and fun, cheap food, drinks and live DJs spinning amazing tunes are what travellers can expect. Boasting a pool table, four Internet-accessible computers (at cheap rates), couches, chairs and a snack and drink machine, many amenities adorn the common area.
