Open seven nights a week for dinner, the 55-seat dining room at the Gambrinus Restaurant provides a warm and welcoming dining atmosphere. The colours are bright, fresh and inviting and the seating quite comfortable. While other fine dining establishments may seem a bit stuffy, Gambrinus prides itself on its casual old world appeal.
The restaurant’s original owners were Hungarian and Italian. Throughout a decade of service, Gambrinus has stayed true to its European roots. As a result you’ll find a menu filled with only the best European flavours. The house specialty is the Duck Gambrinus, served roasted with an orange, garlic and ginger sauce and a cranberry relish. Diners also rave about the excellent prime rib special on Sundays and the pasta special on Tuesdays. Gambrinus has a top class wine list, great martini list and features different entree specials every night of the week to keep things fresh and exciting.
Part of the Neighbourhood
Gambrinus has weaved its way into the fabric of the North Vancouver neighbourhood it calls home. While many locals are regulars in the dining room, even more can be found taking advantage of the fact that Gambrinus’ entire menu is available for take out as well. But it’s not just North Vancouver that has discovered the wonders of Gambrinus; the Georgia Straight claims it’s one of the top European restaurants in all of Vancouver. A whole world of food awaits every night at the Gambrinus Restaurant, a little taste of the old country smack in the middle of North Vancouver.
