As avid white water sportspeople, the owners of the Frogstone Grill were moved to name the restaurant after an enormous rock formation called “The Frog” which they discovered along the Thompson River. The frog-shaped stone was named hundreds of years ago by the natives who inhabited the area. The stone inspired feelings of stability and uniqueness each time it was experienced. So today, the Frogstone Grill, now open since 1999, also provides its many visitors with an experience showing its commitment to good food, good services and creativity.
A Bit o’ Everything
From hearty and delicious ribs made with secret sauce to the perfect-portioned Tadpole kids menu, the Frogstone is the perfect anytime restaurant. Funky lighting, comfortable seating and friendly waiters make for a great experience and ambiance. From brick oven pizza and juicy burgers to steak, seafood, stir fry and Mexican this is one place where even the pickiest of eaters will be left with a clean plate and smile.
A Leap for Education
Love of food aside, this team also contributes to its community in earnest. The Frogstone Gill sponsors the R.I.B.I.T. program (Reading in Bed is Terrific) for elementary school children in the Tri-Cites and Ridge-Meadows area. The program encourages children of all ages to read, each night, as much as possible, to earn reading stamps from their school teacher. When 50 stamps are reached, the child is awarded a Frogstone Grill gift certificate. And at the end of the year, schools can win prizes for their in-school library, too. See website for details.
