Opened in March 2000, the Foundtainhead Pub continues to host a good time. The Fountainhead enjoys a popularity that has last long past the trends of Davie Street, benefiting from its birth on a street that's sorely lacking a great place to hang if it's earlier than 10 p.m. A place for après work drinks or pre-club cocktails, the Fountainhead prides itself on its casual, friendly atmosphere. In fact, in some circles it’s been dubbed “the meeting place.”
Cruising Sports, Hearty Nosh
Besides being a full menu pub, the Fountainhead has a lot of classic pub activities and food. On any given night, regulars can be spotted playing darts, pool or perhaps Davie’s most popular activity: cruising. During the winter, the Fountainhead’s covered patio provides an outdoor spot for people watchers. In the summer, the patio is uncovered and a great place to meet friends for sunsets. If people watching isn’t your thing, there are seven big screen televisions with the latest sports action and the odd episode of America’s Next Top Model playing.
Pub Grub to Please
Pub fare prices are affordable and a lot of the favourites are on the menu including burgers, wraps and hot and cold sandwiches. There’s some ethic flare to the menu too – butter chicken, Greek salad and bruschetta – making the Fountainhead as colourful as it’s neighbourhood and clients.
